Raising rational thinkers is hard.  I am the only atheist mother I know, at least the only one who openly admits to it. I started Brick Window as a way to avoid all the drama I stirred up on Facebook by posting my opinions.  It seems the ones about religion were too provocative for mixed company.

Let’s see if blogging helps…

I saw your post on Friendly Athiest and decided to send you a message. I too am in the DC suburbs (well, Leesburg VA by the faboo outlet mall, but I work in DC at the House of Reps), and my kidlets are wee, I just wanted to say “hi.”

Thank you for commenting, Becky. We are sort of neighbors. It’s good to have blogs where the like-minded can meet and feel a little less isolated. I, for one, feel better already!

    Hi Brick Window,
I stumbled over your blog because I’m trying to find an extra reading or experience I can use in a sermon I’m giving at my UU church soon. How ’bout that. : )

I didn’t even google UU in the mix, just dignity and shame. I think your post was on page 2 or 3.

I was quite moved by the post about the young girl who asked about the dosage of Tylenol on facebook. What ever became of her, the baby and her mother?

Hope this note finds you well.
